Weather The temperature in Toronto during May averages 18-21 deg C (65–70 F). It is spring time. Spring rains are frequent. Daytime temperatures are usually not warm enough for shorts and sandals. A light jacket or sweater may be required during the evening. Currency Canadian money is the accepted currency for purchases. Credit cards such as VISA and MasterCard are accepted at most stores. Some places like tourist attractions will also accept USA money. Canadian currency can be purchased when you arrive at the Toronto airport or the Union Station train terminal. Canadian Border / Canada Customs All international travellers require a passport to enter Canada. If travelling from other countries than the USA you likely require a visa to enter the country.
