After lunch there will be two breakout sessions that will cover the following topics:
"Boundaries for Guys"
Brian Pengelly of New Direction Ministries of Canada will be explaining what it means to have sexual boundaries and to seek purity without feeling shame or guilt. He will examine questions like "How far is too far?" and "What do I do when I've gone too far?"
"Caring for Sexually Confused Youth"
Scott Davis of Exodus International, North America will be equipping youth leaders with some basic tools to minister in the area of teen sexuality.
"God-Designed Sexuality for Young Women"
Meegan Hannah will be speaking on choosing sexual integrity now so as to lead to greater sexual intimacy later. Discussion will include the components of sexual integrity versus compromise and seeing yourself only as sexually valuable.
"Helping Hurting Kids"
Pastor Jeff Smyth of The People's Church will be sharing what to do-and not to do-when kids are in pain. This will be a great introduction to learn how to be compassionate to and care for kids in your ministry.
"Living in a XXX World"
Why is the struggle with porn so difficult? Pastor Barry Lee of Living Waters Toronto will help youth look at how they can break the cycle by examining the roots of this addiction, and point the way to freedom.
"Making Friendships that Last"
The art of making friends is essentially to become friendly. Since we aren't born knowing how to make friends, how do we learn? DJ Thompson of Exodus Global Alliance will be sharing how to make and keep friendships healthy and fulfilling.
"Reaching Gay Youth"
While the number of youth embracing homosexuality is alarming, there are many ways in which we can reach them. DJ Thompson will share about the backgrounds of gay youth and suggest what roles we can play in helping them put their identity both in their gender and in Christ.
"Responding to Abuse"
This session explores the complexities of physical and sexual abuse, how victims recover and how friends can help.
"The Good News of Sex"
Scott Davis will be introducing youth to God's creative intent for both gender and sexuality and contrast it to the world's perspective.
